I wish I had some more details about this car, but I’ll tell you this: if I had described this to you, you would have told me it looked awful in your minds eye. Looking at it though it becomes instantly clear why this thing is awesome. Chopped roof, super-dumped, So-Cal Speed Shop retro paint scheme, side exit exhaust, it’s all awesome. So this changed my mind about the HHR, I’d have a bagged SS in no time.
I saw this over on The Real JDM and couldn’t resist posting it up here it’s just such a nice interpretation of the car. I like seeing an individual’s perspective on a design that was put together by a whole team of people. If you like that sort of stuff too, Jon Sibal’s blog is practically nirvana for that; he is incredible. The roof scoop isn’t my favorite but I can’t point out too much else wrong with this thing. Well done!
Well my last post got me browsing through my photo archive and I came across this very nice pair of BMWs. Photographed by John Batte, it’s two very nice perspectives. On one hand you have the grey 335i rocking the traditional BBS LMs, and that looks just fabulous. Then the white four-door M3 is being original with the Advan RG2s. No complaints on either of these cars. Both are looking great and awesome photography, too!
This is the interior of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage RS. Enough alcantara? I like being able to eat McDonalds in my car. Don’t think I’d be comfortable doing that in this thing. Then again, if I’m in one of these I’m probably too good for you plebs drive-through snacks.
Sometimes the most beautiful cars come from low budget long term builds. The same can also be true for someone new to the game who has a decent chunk of change burning a hole in their pocket and a friend or shop who really knows their stuff. The truth behind both of these scenarios are not too far from one another: it all comes down to passion, attention to detail and perseverance. The boys over at Mach V Motorsports have been working on this 08′ STi since February and I want to highlight a little bit of that attention to detail I mentioned earlier. The carbon hood the car is rocking in the first picture is cool alright, but when painted white it really just completes the look of the car. If you want more information about the car see this thread on NASIOC.
