Check this one out: Shane Grey gets out of the groove and quickly finds himself tumbling along the wall while showering sparks and flames. Thankfully he was unhurt, and it makes for a hell of a watch. As a bonus, there is an excellent shot in slow-motion that just seems to show him hanging in the air for an eternity, and each hit can be examined in excruciating detail with body panels stripping off and flames dancing around the body. Great stuff.
With the SIngapore GP tomorrow we thought it appropriate to show a bit of the mechanical majesty lurking beneath the smooth lines of a modern top-tier racer.
Enjoy the race tomorrow, it should be a good one, nighttime in-city racing is always exciting!
An Apparent pay driver in the GT1 series has a little bobble that turns into a mighty hard smack into the tires during a qualifying session in Slovakia.
Here is the track, built in 2009, just in case you haven’t seen the layout. Pretty cool circuit!
Found a new photographer who has some really great work. Sadly, they are out of the game for now but considering the quality of their work, I know you’ll agree with me when I say they really ought to consider a return. Here is a link to their flickr page if you’d like to see more. Quality stuff.
This photo was taken at the Sebring racetrack in, conveniently, Sebring Florida. The yearly 12 hours endurance race was going on, and Boone was on scene to grab some great snaps. Like I said before, check out his flickr page for some additional photos of this event and more. Maybe with enough prodding we can get him back into the hobby.
…Well, perhaps sneaking isn’t the word.
If you haven’t seen this one by now I’d be surprised. Cool nonetheless. The rumored Hoboken/Weehawken track wouldn’t go through the Lincoln tunnel, so this is purely a stunt. A very neat stunt.
I read a comment about this video saying at these speeds the car would generate enough downforce to drive on the ceiling of the tunnel. What do you think?
